a couple of weeks ago, i was watching this show that features different kinds of topics(mel and joey). for their health feature, they were talking about asthma, and of course they also interviewed someone who lost a loved one to the disease. she's mother. she said her 9 yr old son was having an attack and was having a really hard time breathing despite all his medications at hand. suddenly her son exclaimed "Mama, gusto ko pang mabuhay!"(mama, i still want to live!). so she ran to the neighbors for help and they took him to the hospital but died soon afterwards.

if a kid would tell me those words, just minutes before his death, i'd be having nightmares for years. and just remembering that show still make me teary eyed...
